Description

We are seeking a Full-Time Machine Control Technician in our Omaha office. This entry-level role bridges survey fieldwork with digital modeling. The ideal candidate will bring a foundation in survey practices and a strong interest in learning 3D modeling, QA/QC, and GPS-enabled construction technology.

  • Learn to develop and refine digital models in Trimble Business Center using template-based corridor modeling.
  • Support QA/QC processes to ensure accuracy and consistency under supervision.
  • Collaborate with the Machine Control Manager and construction teams to align models with project requirements.
  • Assist in uploading finalized models to heavy equipment and provide field support as needed.
  • Collect and process survey data for topographic surveys, site calibrations, and project control.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
  • Prior experience with survey data collection, GPS equipment, or construction layout.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in both field and office environments.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate or associate degree in Drafting Technology, Land Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Familiarity with Trimble Business Center or other 3D modeling software.
  • Previous experience working on construction sites or with GPS-enabled equipment.
